Churro

Jo always talks about this churro place that is located on Glebe Point Road called San Churro. I've actually calculated the number of times it is mentioned: it is mentioned atleast twice a week. "My friend said it is the best churro ever! We have to try it!"
The website is as follows: http://www.sanchurro.com/index.php
A churro is a spanish donut which is equavalent to fried dough pastry and is usually accompanied with melted chocolate

Being the stingy me, I've decided not to go try it but try to make it myself. After all, it is JUST batter and chocolate and to overcharge me for a plate of flour? thanks but no thanks. So I've decided, I will make my own! Went to buy the ingredients:

1)
Half of the ingredients used: Clockwise from left: Milk chocolate, white chocolate, sugar, egg and flour

2)
The Uncooked batter

3)

4)
taddaaaaa!!!! home made churros which does not looks like churro! (except the melted chocolate)

in comparison to a pretty churro

Notice that there is no picture in no 3.
You know why?
CHILDREN, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MAKE CHURROS AT HOME. First of all, we had to heat up the pan filled with oil, and second of all, we had to make sure that the dough/churro batter was in a shape that looks like a churro. So, we had to juggle, handling the shapping of churro and the splitty splatter of oil FOR A BOWL OF FRIED DOUGH!
Not good! price of churros in san churro =(only dough PLUS a lot of work) = SO WORTH IT

the best bit of the churro= melted chocolate. YUMMMMMSSS
